"THERE WAS NO HOLLYWOOD SNOW STORM" The Mason City Iowa weather for February 3, 1959 0055Z was 6 miles visibility. The ceiling was 3,000 feet. All of the individuals out at the Mason City Iowa Airport that early Tuesday morning watched as the airplane flew back by overhead and 5-Miles out to the Northwest.{No Hollywood Snow Storm} Owner Jerry Dwyer gave each passenger explicit seating instructions based on Weight & Balance and Buddy Holly ignored Dwyer's strict instructions. Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper and The Pilot Roger Peterson 'There is no statute of limitations for murder'. When the 3-passenger's got out to the airplane... Buddy Holly forced The Big Bopper to exchange seating on the airplane. The Big Bopper was made to sit in the back seating along with Ritchie Valens. In My Opinion: {Something, more sinister took place in that airplane} Buddy Holly had an obsessive compulsive behavior when it came to an opportunity to fly an airplane. Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper were manipulated by Waylon Jennings and Tommy Allsup into taking their place on that chartered airplane following their Surf Ballroom performance and became an unsuspecting part of Buddy Holly's plan that night. "The NTSB Re-Examination Request": {In My Opinion - Something, more sinister took place in that airplane} PRIOR TO DEPARTURE: ALL COMMUNICATIONS FROM BONANZA N3794N STOPPED: THE BIG ISSUE IS HOW BUDDY HOLLY MANIPULATED HIS WAY INTO THE FRONT SEAT OF THE AIRPLANE, AND WHAT WAS HOLLY's INTENTIONS. {In My Opinion - Something, more sinister took place in that airplane} When Waylon and Tommy were in Texas they went flying with Buddy Holly who was in the front seat of the plane and at the controls. Buddy told Waylon and Tommy that He could land an airplane on the roof of a home. From that experience with Buddy. Waylon and Tommy said, they never wanted to get in another airplane with Buddy. During 'The Winter Dance Party Tour-1959' following Show#8 Buddy Holly called a meeting and told everyone that he intended to charter an airplane, going forward. Buddy's Texas pals and band mates Waylon Jennings and Tommy Allsup, wanted nothing to do with getting in another airplane with Buddy, from their previous experience. Following Buddy Holly's meeting and just 72-hours later. Buddy at The Surf Ballroom invited Manager Mr. Carroll D. Andersen to charter an airplane for him and his Texas pals. When Waylon and Tommy found out, they immediately started to approach other performers to take their place on the 90 minute chartered flight to Fargo. 'There is no statute of limitations for murder'. When Surf Ballroom Manager Carroll D. Anderson, His wife Lucile, and son Thomas arrived with The 3-Musicians/Performers in their family station wagon at The Mason City Airport early morning Tuesday February 3, 1959. They all went directly to The Dwyer Flying Service customer lobby. Buddy Holly was looking at a large aerial map on the lobby wall and kept asking 'Where were they' on the large wall map. Wheres The Surf Ballroom from here? Wheres Texas from here? Wheres New York from here? One of the main pre-flight items that Owner Jerry Dwyer covered was strict seating positions required for weight & balance. Jerry Dwyer personally Instructed - The Big Bopper to sit in the front seating next to Pilot Peterson. Ritchie Valens was Instructed to sit in the rear seating Directly behind Pilot Peterson. Buddy Holly was Instructed to sit in the rear seating Directly behind The Big Bopper. {THIS ALL CHANGED}. As the 3-Musicians/Performers walked out of The Dwyer Flying Service lobby and out to the waiting chartered airplane N3794N. Those that were standing at The Dwyer Flying Service { 29 year old Jerry Dwyer, 27 year old Barb Dwyer, 40 year old Carroll D. Anderson, 40 year old wife Lucile, and 12 year old son Thomas } noticed that Buddy Holly was not going along with the assigned seating Instructions, {The Dwyer's were upset/livid - when I spoke with Barb Dwyer she had a few different words that she used}. It seemed that Musician/Performer Buddy Holly insisted on The Big Bopper getting in the back seating as Buddy Holly wanted to sit up front with Pilot Peterson. This being strictly against Owner Jerry Dwyer's weight & balance Instructions.
