Wind in the Trees

Tratto da Matsukaze di Zenmai Motokiyo, questo breve film affronta visivamente l'impatto dell'ambiente naturale sulla psiche umana e, attraverso la trama visivamente rassicurante di una poesia bucolica, conduce lo spettatore verso l'avventura surreale del protagonista e del suo incontro con due spiriti del bosco e la loro personale vicenda emotiva.

Based on Matsukaze written by Zenmai Motokiyo, this short movie visually deals with the impact of the natural environment on the human psyche and, through the reassuring plot of a bucolic visual-poem, leads the viewer towards the surreal adventure of the protagonist and his encounter with two spirits of the forest and their personal story.

Director Biography - Greta Di Raimondo

Greta Di Raimondo was born in Salemi on 4 October 1996. She has always had a strong passion for art and cinema and in 2010 she decided to attend a film school, where she studied the field of audiovisual disciplines from a technical and theoretical point of view and multimedia arts. In 2021 she finished her university studies with a Master's Degree in Theater and Performing Arts at the IUAV University of Venice with a research thesis on found footage cinema. In addition to her passion for directing, she writes about cinema for Birdmen Magazine.

Director Statement

Wind in the Trees is a journey into our ancestral emotions about love and care. Nature is an important part of our state of human beings and it creates a connection between humanity and deep emotional vibrations. The characters are like mirrors of this reality and they show us another level of perception.
