My name is Tunç Can Keskin, born on July 31, 1999. I recently graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University with a degree in film. Before switching to film in 2019, I studied industrial engineering at MEF University from 2017 to 2019.
In 2015–2016, I lived in Australia and attended high school there, where my passion for cinema blossomed, and I shot my first short film. Before that, I studied at MEF Schools.
I have experience as a copywriter, interned at advertising agencies, and worked as a freelance product photographer. Currently, I direct short films and commercials, work as an assistant director on commercial films, and serve as a producer’s assistant on various projects.
I directed a short mockumentary, Reşat Tekçeker: Karcan and A Close Retrospective of His Non-existing Traumatic Life, which was selected by numerous festivals. I followed this with a stop-motion film about two outdated cameras trying to escape a filmmaker’s crib, then my third short film, The Way of My Life. My latest work, Wayne’s Legacy Unleashed: The Flash's Ring, is a fan film currently making its way through various film festivals.
My passion for filmmaking continues to grow as I watch movies almost every day. My taste in genres varies, as I enjoy anything that hooks me from one film to the next.
This short, black-and-white film captures a fleeting yet profound moment in the life of a young woman returning home after a long day. In just one minute, I aimed to convey the weight of her family’s financial struggles and the quiet, persistent challenges she faces as she confronts their harsh realities. The stark black-and-white aesthetic reflects her emotional landscape—one marked by resilience but void of simple solutions. By distilling this experience into a single, intimate moment, I hope to evoke a universal feeling of responsibility and the resilience required to face life’s ongoing hardships.
