As a graduating student at the University of Colorado Denver, Fox Hughes has spent the past four years developing and shooting many short-form projects. From his director's debut with "Whirlpool", to working on numerous projects as an assistant director, he wants to continue his filmmaking journey after school as a screenwriter and director.
The inspiration for this film came when I took a trip to Deadman’s Lookout tower when I was very young. I distinctly remember standing on the balcony of the tower, staring out into the darkness, and being terrified that something might be looking back at me. The goal of this film was to capture that naked, primal terror of being watched and hunted. Is there a way to overcome that fear? Would you survive? These were all questions I was interested in exploring. Before this project, I’ve also worked on Whirlpool, Release Form and One Last Take.
