Director Biography - Nathan Sellers

Nathan "Nate" Sellers is a visual artist and independent filmmaker known for his experimental shorts and horror-influenced dramas. His work has been featured at various genre festivals, including Telluride Horror Show, FilmQuest, Nightmares, and Boston Underground. In 2022, his film The Watcher (2022) won "Best Short Film" at Flatland Film Festival, followed by "Best Horror Short" at GenreBlast in 2023.

In addition to his directorial work, Nate has made contributions as a producer, working on the folk-horror short The Thaw (2023), starring Toby Poser and Emily Bennett, and collaborating with award-winning animator Catya Plate on the stop-motion feature 'Alma.' In 2021, Nate founded the no-budget film collective, Lone Horse Films, where he acts as creative director. Methuselah (2024) is his latest film.

Director Statement

'The Watcher' was filmed over a single weekend (36 hours) in northern Vermont. The production was made up of mostly female talent/crew and features the work of up-and-coming talent (Lucia Tarro, Sandrine Morin, etc.).
