What would you do if someone was threatening the life of someone you loved and there was no one to protect her? This is what we explored in the western noir, “The Turn”. A story about what happens when you are pushed to your breaking point. Who do you become? What would you do? A slow, deliberate pace begins the film, settling the characters into their scene. The use of a black and white, vintage film grain look emphasizes the harsh and gritty feel of the characters’ emotional states. In the second half, the pace quickens and chaos erupts - as things take a dangerous turn.
