The Trash Cycle
The Trash Traveler embarked on an incredible journey, cycling 2370 km around Portugal in just 55 days on a bike built entirely from second-hand parts. This inspiring adventure aimed to prove that trash can be valuable and deserves a second chance. Along the way, The Trash Traveler picked up an astonishing 4599 single-use bottles and cans, highlighting the critical issue of plastic pollution and calling for the implementation of a deposit return scheme for beverages.
To support the journey, Raquel Lima joined as a road support to seek out local and ecological farms, where she cooked delicious meals that were both healthy and free from packaging waste.
This documentary showcases an incredible adventure that raises awareness of the importance of zero waste and a circular economy. Don't miss your chance to join the REUSE REVOLUTION!

Since 2019, the molecular biologist Andreas Noe aka The Trash Traveler is raising awareness about environmental issues with extraordinary approaches, fun and creativity in Portugal. 2020, Carolina Semrau and Augusto Lima from Camera With No Name joined the project as two independent videographers based in Porto. They decided to join forces to use documentaries as a tool for communication on the areas of sustainability and environmental protection.
This world can't be saved alone. With our films, we intend to inspire people to come together and start to act for our ocean and the planet. We need to join forces and everyone has to bring in their own skills to make this world a better place.
Raising awareness with positivity and creativity. Every screening with me in person starts or ends with a few of our Ukulele-Trash-Awareness-Songs that will stuck to your minds!
