Fantasi Tuli
Hasna Mufidah was born Deaf. However, she fell in love with music and became one of few Indonesian Deaf dancer. In 2019, she founded the Deaf community called "Fantasi Tuli" that has a mission to encourage young Deaf people to be involved in the Arts and be confident to enter the creative industry as professionals. Mufi actively advocates inclusive culture between Deaf and Hearing people in discussion forums. She believes, one of the most efficient communication is by having visual story telling. She participated as Producer, Writer and Actor in "Silent in Sound" short movie that was screened at the Shanghai Deaf Film Festival 2018 and "The Train in Between Us / Kereta Kita" was her directing debut, collaborated with Mayang Irsan.
Collaboration between Deaf and Hearing people are very important. Growing up, I slowly discover Arts as the medium of expressing my self. Through this piece of collaboration, I hope we could create more inclusive environment, breaking boundaries and understand the differences in languages.
