Director Biography - Dean Gofnung

Dean Gofnung is an 18 year old filmmaker, videographer, and editor. He loves telling narratives of personal experience through a retro lens and with a fantastical flair. Dean is a 2026 National YoungArts Winner in Film/Narrative, and has been fortunate to be selected for programs such as Film Independent's Future Filmmakers Class of 2025, and have his work nominated at festivals such the All American High School Film Festival for achievements in music videos and sound design. Through his filmmaking, he has discovered his love for cinematography and using visual elements to push a narrative. In his free time, he is an amateur French Horn player, analog film editing enthusiast, and a custom LEGO designer.
