The Temple of the Eternal Sound
"The Temple of Eternal Sound" is an introspective and spiritual short film that explores the transformative power of sound. In a serene and sacred setting, Tibetan bowls resonate, initiating a journey of deep healing. Through the ancestral vibration of these sacred instruments, the film narrates the awakening of the self to an altered state of consciousness where silence and sound converge. As the sound waves flow, the deepest corners of the human soul are revealed, confronting us with our shadows, our unhealed wounds, and our ungranted forgiveness. As the sound echoes, light and the rebirth of the self-emerge, leading the viewer to a state of peace and deep understanding. "The Temple of Eternal Sound" is not only an exploration of healing through sound but also a reminder that everything in the universe communicates, and we are intrinsically connected by the vibration of existence.

Jorge G. Caravotta is a medical doctor with a master's degree in sexual and reproductive health. His career began as a volunteer doctor in Peru during the cholera epidemic in 1991. Since then, he has participated in various humanitarian missions in countries such as Angola, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Venezuela, Ecuador, India, Nepal, and Iraq, excelling in emergency contexts and humanitarian coordination.
In addition to his extensive experience in public health, Jorge has developed a notable career as a photographer and cinematographer from an early age. He has directed documentaries reflecting his missions and experiences in the field, such as "Making God - The Ganesha Festival" in India and "Second Life – From Darkness to Life," exploring themes of culture, healing, and human resilience in diverse cultural environments and adverse situations.
The idea for this short film arose unexpectedly at the "Pulpería del Libro" during a session of Tibetan bowls. At that moment, a book suddenly fell off the shelf and opened to a page describing the healing power of sound. The page read: "Our goal is not to cure diseases, but to provide spiritual purification and guide the spirit towards physical, mental, and emotional balance, which leads to the divinization of the person. Thus, even if they do not seek it, the person improves and achieves health, harmony, and prosperity."
This fortuitous event, a form of bibliomancy, inspired me to contact filmmaker Luis Alejandro Rodríguez to share the experience during the session of bowls. Motivated by this revelation, we decided to create a short film focused on the healing qualities of sound and Tibetan bowls. Together with my wife Verónica, a music teacher and sound therapist, and our friend Agueda Aldalur, our friend and producer, we designed a script that explores the significant impact of the sacred sounds of Tibetan bowls on physical, mental and spiritual healing.
