The Surreal City
"The Surreal City" is the first music video by The Neptunians. The musical duo Siddharth Shankar and Abhishek Brahmachari have blended the different moods of music to represent one of the most realistic cities, Mumbai, surrealistically. They have used very simple software and tools to create the entire music track. The whole video is brilliantly photographed by using just an iPhone by the director Abhijeet Saha.

I started as a theater actor moving on to learn filmmaking after getting influenced by Polish & Bengali Cinema. I went on to work as an Assistant Director on major Indian films (Bollywood) for over 12 years. I'm not a film school student, but I did get an opportunity to learn basic foundation course in filmmaking for 4 weeks only. For me, cinema is all about reliving and retelling your life experiences through writing stories and capturing it visually by our magical frames. Every story and film should have a director's emotional touch, because he is the only mother & father to his child. Cinema is a very personal involvement for me. It's my happiness. It's my sadness. It's my holiday from daily routine and mundane life. It's my smile to the world and it's my tears to the moviegoers. Cinema is the most painful experience and it's the most satisfying achievement. It's so eternal and surreal experience of an individual's nakedness. Thank you so much, God!
