The Statue


A film about our present, about what life is like here today and how we relate to each other in Hungary. A film about the impact of corruption on the society. A grotesque, twisty satire with a lot of jokes and shocking scenes.

Dewie Phillip used to work as a postman, and now, as a pensioner, new paths open up for him: he becomes the guardian of the statue which is symbolizing the unity of the nation. His creed: "The safety of the statue is the safety of the nation!"
