The Sparrow

He is known as The Sparrow...a man who must undertake the task of finding the cures for lost souls claimed by the unforgiving endlessness of Despair. Loss, sorrow and suffering, heartache, pain, grief and hopelessness...his mission is to traverse those such realms of despair to retrieve the glimmer of hope that remains within before time runs out.

But when Despair takes hold of a friend--using his depression as a conduit to enter our world--The Sparrow, along with a band of journeymen, must fight through Despair's now physical hold upon their own torments to deliver the cure.

Director Biography - Matthew Ewald

As an actor, Matthew Ewald's extensive experience and career in the industry began in 2001 when he completed not only his first feature film "Terminal Error," but in the same year was fortunate enough to have portrayed Nicholas Bluetooth on the highly popular FOX science fiction/adventure television series "Galidor." The franchise, an international hit, spawned Matthew his own action figure through the LEGO brand, as well as merchandising rights through Cap'N'Crunch cereal, McDonald's Happy Meal Toys, XBOX and Playstation video game consoles, among many others.

This year alone, Matthew has landed one of the lead roles--as the malevolent Man in Black--in the Amazon Prime Original Series "Morty," as well as a chameleon-like turn as the amnesiac drifter in John Johnson's & Darkstone Entertainment's nightmare macabre "The Dark Net," along with upcoming feature films such as the horror/science-fiction drama "Blood Pledge," as well as the cat & mouse crime/thriller "The Coffin Bound Kings."

Matthew has wrapped his involvement on over seventy-plus productions, including (more recently) the acclaimed Vietnam War feature "Point Man"--as the scarred platoon leader James Edward Sutter--the serious-minded remake of the 1959 classic Edward D. Wood, Jr.'s magnum opus, "Plan 9 From Outer Space," as well as having won the Macabre Faire Film Festival's Best Actor in a Feature Film award for his role as Carl in the motion picture "Athena," as well as Guest Starring roles in television series' such as "TURN: Washington's Spies," "Mostly 4 Millennials," and "Sons of Thunder."

Matthew is a member of the HWA, as well as a published author with numerous horror stories, and four horror novels already to his credit. With an impressive body of work, an impossible passion & love for this "oxygen" that is acting, and a slew of upcoming projects in 2019 and well into the next year, Matthew is looking to continue his dramatic career in the genres that he so greatly loves.
