Katherine Connor Duff is a Los Angeles-based actress, writer, and director, with ties to San Francisco and New York. Every morning as a child, Katherine rolled out of bed in the ghetto of San Francisco and trundled off to a uniformed private school in the upper echelons of that same city. Now, as an adult, she uses her experience of contradictions to inform her work, which ranges from biting comedy to heartrending historical. She just doesn't wear a uniform anymore.
Have you ever had a bad audition? Maybe. Have you ever had an ugly fight with a partner? I bet you have. I filmed this short as realistically as possible, to achieve a cinema verité aspect of the New Wave filmmakers of a bygone era. There is simple beauty and unpleasant voyeurism to the film which is experimental and electric. Enjoy!
