The Six
Following the students of Daisyland High, 'The Six' is about the story of different teenagers and their unexpected journeys during the first night of spring break. While breaking through each other’s emotional walls, they realize that they are closer, in circumstance, than they think. In scenes of friendships, downfalls and debates of Bruce Springsteen, the stories of six loners are told.

Nicole Tucker has studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School for the past six summers; and filmmaking at the New York Film Academy's summer program. She developed her love of filmmaking through her time at NP and NYFA, and decided to make a short film her sophomore year of high school. Nicole is inspired by the world around her and she plans to keep story-telling.
'The Six' is important because it expresses many feelings that a teenager goes through. In 'The Six,' characters experience new love, first dates, feelings coming alive, fights, tenderness, and finding each other. Their adventures start in different places but they all end up in the same place, physically (a backyard concert) and mentally (an unfamiliar acceptance of each other).
'The Six' is a story that people can see themselves in. The idea came to me in August of 2017 and I started writing in March of 2018. The story flowed out of me; the inspiration just kept coming.
Working with actors is an amazing thing. They pick up on many moments, either by themselves or with my help. Watching actors find the characters within themselves and through their scene partners is a grand thing.
The process of making a film has always been fascinating to me. I have enjoyed watching the craft of cinematography and editing. The crew is a wonderfully talented group of people and I'm happy to have worked with each of them. They have taught me more than I could have ever imagine.
'The Six' has truly been a marvelous experience.
