Director Statement

This film is not just about the bear. It’s about silence, coexistence, and the invisible line between man and nature. While following the traces of the Carpathian brown bear, I found myself searching for something deeper — the quiet truth of our connection with the wild. Through this journey, I wanted to capture not only the beauty and danger of the mountains but also the feeling of humility that nature imposes on us. “The Shadow of the Bear” is a reminder that sometimes what we seek in the forest is a reflection of what we have lost inside ourselves.
