The Rider
A loosely autobiographical animated short, "The Rider" is based off of my own experience learning to surf in NYC, proving that the ocean can bring us together with nature even in the most surprising of places.
The majority of the film is animated frame-by-frame, and the film's score is inspired by Duke Ellington's "Take the A Train."
The short centers around a character who discovers surfing while on the subway and, after a few mishaps, rides their first wave.
