Born in Staten Island, Adam Marino moved at an early age to New Jersey. At the age of six, he then moved to south Florida, where he spent the rest of his formative years. Throughout his childhood, Adam was fascinated with the idea of creating things. In middle school, he directed and produced his own short films with neighborhood friends. Always processing a creative mind and possessing a drive to produce art, it was in his senior year of high school when he began to draw and noticed for his artistic ability. After high school, Adam attended Lynn University where he majored in business further developed his passion in art. Receiving an Associates of Arts at Palm Beach State College, he continued his studies at Florida Atlantic University. There he broadened his knowledge by exploring new mediums, including photography and sculpture. After graduating from college, he and two friends took a cross-country road trip to California and filmed it along the way. It started out as a documentary-style effort that eventually turned into Adam’s first narrative short film titled Self-Driven. Shortly after that, Adam was awarded an internship at the Palm Beach Film and Television Commission where he learned about the marketing and distribution aspects of film and television shows. The internship landed Adam a job as a production assistant for the television show Foreclosure 2 Fabulous. A year later Adam moved to Los Angeles to immerse himself in Film and enrolled in the New York Film Academy to formalize his education in the medium. A year after graduation Adam and his childhood friend Naman Barsoom developed a full feature script “Beneath the Leaves.” Local producers took notice and helped bring the project to life. With Beneath the Leaves, Adam was able to work with numerous Hollywood veterans including Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino, her father Paul Sorvino, and legendary character actor, Doug Jones. Beneath the Leaves was ultimately released in March of 2019 through Vertical Entertainment. Adam’s second feature, “Ring Ring,” a thriller/comedy, which is woven through with a subtle homage to Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, and explores the unique issues faced by millennials, including the full spectrum of drug use and addiction, was released in July of 2019 through Indie Rights. Ring Ring features Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk) and Malcolm Goodwin (iZombie) in roles that are in strong contrast to the roles for which they are best known. It also features Kirby Bliss Blanton (Death Wish) in one of her most challenging performances to date. Ring Ring is currently available exclusively to rent or buy on Amazon.
