Director Statement

I want my film to be visually unconventional and daring. Soraya story will be told through frames: the viewfinder of a camera, a computer screen, and editing software. Every time it shows a character, they will be framed, to further enforce the theme of representation. Experiment with the use of color, moving between color image for the scenes. The storytelling rely on the disjunction between image and sound, as what we are seeing will often be made fully clear only by the off-screen sound.
