The Pirate Code

The short film project "PIRATE CODE" emerged as part of the conclusion of one of the workshops held by the Rockset production company. The Rockset workshop on film production, from script to screen, was taught by Regis Terencio, a Brazilian producer residing in Los Angeles, where students went through the entire pre-production process, and the practical part would be the first day of filming for the short film, written by film student Kristel Hemmer, especially for the workshop. Rockset production company committed its entire team, equipment, and infrastructure so that students could experience the real set filming experience. The result was so surprising that we decided to continue the project and complete the shooting in 2 more days, and begin post-production, starting a new phase of the company: investing in cinema projects.

"The Pirate Code" is a short film, mockumentary style, based on tales, legends and real stories of pirates from the coast of Santa Catarina, mixing fiction and reality with a good dose of humor. Captain Rock Brasiliano and his crew terrorized the Brazilian coast with their primitive weapons, totalitarian code, cruel attacks, sarcasm and lots of Rum. Or at least, that's what historians says. Captain Rock wants to prove that's not true... Except about the Rum.
