The Pilgrimage
I used to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses and it made me feel incredibly lonely. At the time I couldn't understand why I felt that way. After working up the courage to leave the religion (permanently damaging my relationship with most of my family), I spent a long time reflecting on how it made me feel. Several years later I made this short film as a meditation on that lonely, disconnected feeling I felt during my weekly "pilgrimage" to the Kingdom Hall.
