The Perish of Locution
This is a story of a couple struggling to communicate how they really feel about each-other. It follows Mark and Luisa who were once in love but that has since faded after many years together. Both afraid to admit how they really feel, they war with themselves inside and grown even further apart.
With combination of actors in studio and the outside nature I wanted to show the conflicts of not being heard in a partnership.

Best Experimental Film
Born in Donaghmede, Dublin, Ireland. Screen Writer/Director studying her Masters: Film, Television and Digital Narratives in Berlin, Germany. Known for her Trainee Assistant Director work on Netflix & Disney projects. After winning Best Directed Film in 2017 in Colaiste Dhulaigh College of further education, exhibition film screening, and with her Short Film: "Burden" screening at the Richard Harrison film festival in 2017, this kick started her career within the film industry, and made her want to continue with her writing & directing career even further.
For this short film I wanted to explore the topic for communication between couples and what a lack of it can do.
I wanted to capture a partnership where one person is completely done with the relationship and the other is a victim of not being able to read between the lines.
When I started this project a big goal of mine was to use frames in an abstract way. I also wanted to be bold with colour, shapes and light. This project for me is a mixture of my love for the experimental with some drama in there for structure.
