Director Biography - Vikkramm Chandirramani

Vikkramm Chandirramani's newest crime short film, 'The Perfect Murder' has received excellent reviews.

Eminent film critic, Mr Richard Propes of The Independent Critic says, "The film itself is a rewarding view..Kudos to Chandirramani for coming up with an ending that satisfies and manages to make perfect sense while also being just a touch unpredictable, a terrific closing to the second effort that The Independent Critic has reviewed from this up-and-coming filmmaker."

IndyRed says about 'The Perfect Murder, "Hands and feet above the average indie film, this movie should have no problem, holding the attention of even those who don't normally watch sub-titled films."

ScreenCritix says,“Chandirramani is wise to create an unpredictable and satisfying if somewhat ambiguous ending. I finished watching the film wanting to see more, but also happy it ended how it did. The Perfect Murder is a nice little crime thriller from a director who seems to be going places. It’s great to watch his journey and to be invited along the way. If he continues to improve, we certainly could be seeing a lot more of him.”

22 Indie Street says, “The characters are all acted out excellently from what I can see and this title, really looks good...Chandirramani manages to turn the plot around, and delivers a very satisfying conclusion to this short film. I can't think of a better way to have ended it. Four stars all the way.”

One Film Fan says “The Perfect Murder” is a well-presented, character-driven, strongly dramatic effort that assuredly reminds us of the fragile psyche of people under immense, even if unspoken, pressure that propels them to take reckless, impulsive, and often destructive roads which can only climax in heartache, broken bonds, and, sometimes, more permanent ends."

The Free Press Journal (Newspaper from Mumbai) says,
"As stories go, the plot of his new short is the sort you would find in a good crime novel. What makes the film well worth a dekko is the acting, the economy of images, the tight editing and the adroitly executed twist in the ending."

Vikkramm Chandirramani's last film 'Destiny' won 'Best Foreign FIlm' at The Ridgewood Guild International Film Festival. There have been several other wins, selections and screenings. It has, since its release on YouTube crossed 4 million views and 50,000 likes. It also received acclaim from critics. His next is 'The Perfect Murder', an urban crime drama short film of 18 minutes duration. Vikkramm Chandirramani was born and has spent most of his adult life in Mumbai, India exposed to various influences. His father was a prolific writer and his films are influenced as much by literature as by cinema.
