Director Biography - Anis Djaad

Anis Djaad is an award-winning script writer-director. His first feature film script "At the end of the tunnel" was selected and awarded by the European Media film program. In 2011, he won the prize for the Best Screenplay for a Short Film at the Algiers Film Days with “The Porthole''. In 2012, he directed his first short film "The Porthole" with which he won several awards at international festivals. In 2013, he took part for the second time in the national script competition and won the grand prize with his script "Black Screen''. In 2014, he directed his second short film "Railway Crossing". In 2015, he made his third short film "Keltoum’s Journey" with the support of the “Mission Cinéma de la Ville de Paris”. From 2016 to today, he developed several scripts and finally managed to film his feature debut “The Life After” in 2021.
