Director Biography - Paula Miquelis

Paula Miquelis is an entrepreneur, sustainability geek and creative. She co-founded Green Is The New Black (GITNB), a media platform promoting conscious living through Conscious Festivals run in Singapore, Hong Kong and soon Europe: and online platform for people who want to #LiveMoreConsciously by improving the way they live, consume, work and travel while doing more good in the world. This is a place where fun and social environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

GITNB aims to be the number one community of sustainable brands in fashion, beauty, F&B and lifestyle in Asia to provide alternatives options to live more consciously and reduce our collective impact on the planet. 

Having previously worked as a consultant in sustainability doing projects for MNCs across Asia, Paula is skilled in creating impactful partnerships between social enterprises and large corporations. She is a trained storyteller who uses videography and photography to create stories for change.

Born and raised in Nice – South East of France, her curiosity and passion for travels lead her to study in Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore. Asia has become her home and playground. Her dream is to empower people to care about our planet through inspiring, engaging and fun communications.

"As 30 years old young female social & environmental entrepreneurs, we always wonder if our actions matter, if we, as individuals can really make a difference. Our answer is a clear YES. Changing our consumption behaviours, our relationships with nature are crucial in the fight against climate change and social justice. We wanted to show that, through epic Arctic expedition images and a very accessible educational documentary who anyone wanting to learn how to impact the world."
