The Melon Heads

When four college students get their final assignments for the semester, the group heads up to the alleged abandoned crow mansion in Kirtland Ohio. The legend of the mysterious Dr.Crow and the Melon heads have haunted the Locals for years, and until now it's only been folklore and myth, but when the students enter into the Crow Manson they come face to face with the diabolical Doctor and his flesh-eating Melon Head creatures! will they escape the wrath of Dr.Crow or will they fall prey to the Legend of the Melon heads.

Director Biography - Eddie Lengyl

Eddie Lengyl is the founder of Fright Teck Pictures. He has been producing high quality micro budget films for over the last 15 years. Best known for Hellweek which made its debut on Netflix in 2010, Scarred (walmart 2016) and American Poltergeist, The Curse of Lilith Ratchet (Family Video & Walmart 2019).

Fright Teck Pictures films have earned High Praise from some of the biggest horror websites in the world. Horror Society gave The Curse of Lilith Ratchet a 9 out of 10 deeming it a classic gory haunting you don't want to miss! Scaretissue magazine said that Scarred is a total 80's throwback with in your face kills with a Highly recommendation stamped on it!

The company has distribution with itn films & SGL entertainment their titles stream on platforms such as Tubi TV, Amazon, and Redbox, along with hard copy of their titles in Walmart stores nationwide. Moving forward Fright Teck pictures plans to continue their success in the Horror genre with many titles in the works.

Director Statement

The Melon Heads Urban Legend has been a vision quest of mine for quite some time. I remember being a teenager searching for melon heads with my friends. This was something we did on the weekends as it was fun, exciting and adventurous for us. We never saw one, but we sure had fun trying.

Over the decades I saw a decline in the legend, so I felt it was important to bring the urban legend back to life through a full feature length film. This is my rendition of the Melon Heads.

Shooting the film was filled with challenges as we filmed it during the fall of 2021 and COVID was starting to ramp up. We also had budget constraints and worked with a skeleton crew.

After a year in the editing bay the film was finally completed. We are looking forward to screening the film to the fans of the Horror genre and spreading the word about the Melon heads.
