Director Biography - Abhishek Parija

Abhishek is a 2020 batch post-graduate in Film Studies from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He has previously made one short film, and one documentary which was completed after this experimental short in 2019. This is his second film. He likes to engage with films both from a theoretical, scholarly standpoint, and also as a director. He tries to do this by writing essays, and thinking of scripts that can become films. He aspires to do many things, he is young, struggling to find work like many, wants to go abroad to study, and come back to his native place to make feature films.

Director Statement

This is a collective project by a couple of students enrolled in the Film Studies masters' program of Jadavpur University, Kolkata (batch: 2018-20). I am not the sole director of this film, however, there is only my name in the director's section simply because Film Freeway mandates it in the rules for a film to be available publicly. This is simply available here for viewing purposes. I do not hold the copyright to be able to submit this film to festivals.
