Director Biography - Vitor Cardoso

Director and Screenwriter (UCLA), his first short "Apollo", debut as official selection of Gramado Cine Video. After studying Filmmaking at New York Film Academy, he wrote and directed “Fly a Way in LA” (Los Angeles New York International Film Festival (2017) and LABRFF (2019), and co-directed the short “The Countries We Love” (2018) selected by 7 international festivals. He was the Assistant Director of the feature El Plebeyo (2019) in Lima/Peru. In 2020, his new short "Edward" won the Short Film Factory 2020 and was selected for more than 15 festivals around the world including in London, Los Angeles and the Czech Republic where he was nominated for best screenwriter at the Prague International Indie Festival.

In his recent projects, he leads the content production for Facebook (Latin and Black) Community Summit with Mark Zuckerberg, the production management and script of Global Impact at the United Nations headquarters in NY, and currently directing and writing a podcast/videocast for Google.
