The Loop / Döngü

Her daughter, who cannot get rid of the pain and anger of abandonment, no matter how old she gets, starts seeing her again after 15 years, with the hope of forgiveness and the longing for her mother.
Nature is constantly changing, trees unfold their leaves, turn green, dry up, fall off, then bloom again, but mother and daughter realize that they are two strangers in an endless dead-end loop.

Terkedilmişliğin acısı ve öfkesini kaç yaşında gelirse gelsin içinden atamayan kızı, 15 yıl aradan sonra annesine duyduğu özlem ve affetme umudu ile tekrar görüşmeye başlar.
Doğa durmadan değişir, ağaçlar yapraklarını açar, yeşillenir, kurur, dökülür, sonra tekrar tomurcuklarını verir ama anne ve kızı sonsuz çıkmaz döngünün içinde iki yabancı olduklarını fark ederler.

She was born in 1995 in Istanbul.
After graduating in 2017, he founded the company "Sinema Adası".
She has been opening Cinema Workshops for 5 years. He is the founder of "Lands of Cinema", which distributes national and international short films.
She is a project owner in Cinematheque Days: Sector Meetings.

2017 yılında mezun olduktan sonra, ‘’Sinema Adası’’ şirketini kurmuştur.
5 yıldır Sinema Atölyeleri açmaktadır.
Ulusal ve uluslararası kısa film dağıtımı yapan ‘’Lands of Cinema’’nın kurucusudur.

Director Statement

There are many responsibilities attributed to motherhood in the patriarchal lifestyle. It is the most natural right of a mother who does not accept this responsibility to leave her home and start a new life for herself. I wondered what would happen if the mother one day confronts her abandoned daughter while building a new life. I focused on the themes of 'motherhood' and 'forgiveness' in my short film, which has an autobiographical feature.

Ataerkil yaşam tarzında anneliğe atfedilen birçok sorumluluk var. Bu sorumluluğu kabul etmeyen bir annenin, evini terk edip kendine yeni bir hayat kurması en doğal hakkıdır. Anne kendi yeni bir hayat kurarken terkettiği kızı ile bir gün yüzleşirse neler olabileceğini merak ettim. Otobiyografik özellik taşıyan kısa filmimde 'annelik' ve 'affetme' temaları üzerinde durdum.
