A mother, whose son was lynched in 1981, takes on an obstructionist police force, ineffective judicial system and a smear campaign against her son. With her persistence the killers were convicted, she took ownership of the Alabama KKK and was named Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Woman of the Year.
