The Invisible Challenge

The documentary tells the story of Manlio, a young man who decides to take on an ultra-endurance trail race in Valle d’Aosta once again, driven by a highly ambitious goal. He does so in honour of someone dear to him, who passed away from leukaemia and shared his name: a story that becomes a metaphor for the ‘invisible challenge’ that so many people face every day.

ALESSANDRO CECCARELLI (left):
Alessandro (1989) is an Italian director and visual artist. For over ten years he has worked with images to observe and narrate the present, moving across different media. His projects often emerge from collaborations with diverse realities and develop into essential visual narratives, attentive to what unfolds in plain sight.

MATTEO FORTUNATI (right):
Matteo (2000) is an Italian director of photography and production manager. For over five years he has worked in the audiovisual field, spanning documentary cinema and commercial productions. His approach is technical and meticulous, oriented towards the pursuit of essential and innovative visual solutions.
