Director Biography - James H. Lee

James Lee is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker specializing in directing, screenwriting, and cinematography. His passion for cinema was ignited at a young age, leading him to pursue a film and television degree at the University of Southern California. Known for his ability to tackle profound themes with humor, he has garnered praise for his visionary directing and the exceptional performances he elicits from his cast. His films often challenge societal norms and provoke thought on complex subjects.

His films have gained critical acclaim from Film Threat and have been showcased at Portland Film Festival, Boston Asian American Film Festival, and Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival. One of his notable works is the martial arts action screenplay "The Flavor of Fury," which secured a spot on the 2020 Red List and earned him recognition, including being named a Top 10 Finalist in the Filmmatic Short Screenplay Awards and a Top 20 finalist in the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition.
