Business leader, speaker, writer, mentor and Ironman, Nestor's boundless energy is contagious.
Have you ever heard of the name Frederic Tudor? If not, then you are missing out. He is one of the most interesting entrepreneurs since the Revolutionary War.
His story is the stuff of legend. In the early 1800s before artificial refrigeration was invented, ice was harvested from the lakes and ponds of New England and shipped to places as far as India and Brazil. In fact, prior to the U.S. Civil War, natural ice was the 2nd largest export after cotton. Frederic Tudor single handedly created this industry.
His story is epic.
My name is Nestor Villalobos. I am an entrepreneur, business professor and writer. I wrote “The Ice King” as I felt compelled to have more people learn about one of history’s least remembered but most influential figures. My hope is that a new generation of entrepreneurs will be inspired after seeing his amazing story unfold on the big screen.
Let's Make History.
