The Guardian Lion and Budaixi

For the longest time,the Guardian Lions and the gate gods of Fushun Temple have taken turns standing guard at the temple gates. Every year during the Lantern Festival, there is a lot of excitement in front of the temple—a fierce battle is enacted during a Budaixi puppet show, but there is not a single person watching. The lions reminisce about a long time ago when the mouse spirit "Fat Bo" was punished by being banned from watching the show, which made him riot in protest. The Guardian Lions then decide to give Fat Bo a call and invite him to watch the show, but he rejects the offer. At night the Guardian Lions change guard and perform the show themselves. Under the backdrop of the night, the puppets come to life once more.
