The Green Boy Of Nature

Abolfazl Joghataie, a 13-year-old teenager and environmental activist on social media, decides to go alone for the first time to Golestan National Park to photograph its wild nature. For the first time, he travels independently from his family, but he is accompanied by park rangers and a documentary team. Abolfazl faces various challenges, including encounters with wild animals and finding food in the wilderness. In one of these exciting moments, Abolfazl sees a bear in the wild for the first time and becomes extremely excited. During the few days he spends in Golestan National Park, he tries to photograph a leopard as well. Throughout this journey, Abolfazl not only improves his photography skills but also gains a deeper understanding of nature and the importance of protecting it. This experience helps him become more confident and turn into an independent and responsible teenager. His activities on Instagram also inspire others to protect the environment.

When I first came across Abolfazl Joghatai’s Instagram profile and discovered his plan to venture into Golestan National Park, I saw an opportunity to capture a unique narrative that goes beyond personal exploration. I reached out to him with the idea of creating a documentary that would not only follow his journey but also delve into the deeper connections between humans and the natural world. This collaboration allowed us to witness his genuine reactions to encountering wildlife for the first time, offering moments that were both compelling and enlightening.

Our aim with this film is to shed light on the critical importance of environmental conservation and to motivate viewers to look beyond their immediate surroundings and recognize the value of preserving our planet’s biodiversity. Through Abolfazl’s journey, we hope to inspire the younger generation to become more conscious stewards of the Earth, fostering a sense of responsibility and commitment to nature that transcends borders and cultures.
