Director Biography - Nguyen Viet Anh

Nguyen Viet Anh was born in Hanoi, Vietnam. He is a Vietnamese filmmaker with a background in mass communication and multimedia and worked as director, writer & editor for some short films, commercial videos. He also started writing and directing his own-graduation short film named Game Over in 2018. This film was selected on the top 30 films of the Film Youth Festival in Vietnam. In 2020, the short film titled Forest was selected and participated in film festivals in the Philippines, Thailand, Northern Ireland, France.

The reason to start directing is because he loves telling the stories and questions the relationship between people and people, between people and nature. To him, cinema is the best language for messaging and connection.
