The Family

In the modern bustle of New York City, Francesco Giovanni, a powerful and traditional mob boss, presides over his family with a tight grip. His meticulously controlled world begins to fracture when Alma, his 17-year-old daughter, introduces Trenton Kryce as her tutor, a handsome young man perceived to be of Middle Eastern descent. What looks like a typical clash of family dynamics soon spirals into a cosmic struggle, as Trenton's family harbors a profound secret—they are extraterrestrial caretakers of Earth, overseeing humanity like 'gardeners' tending to a cosmic preserve.

Unknown to Alma, the Kryce's have lived among humans for generations, aiding Earth's progress quietly. Trenton’s father, Falon, works at the UN under the guise of a translator, while his mother, Mirri, and great-uncle, S’halon, live discreetly to preserve their otherworldly abilities. Marlandian law strictly forbids close human relations, but Trenton cannot help his growing feelings for Alma, which blossom into romance despite his family's warnings.

Francesco, suspecting the relationship and concerned for familial honor, sets his men to investigate. Agents and mobsters start tailing Trenton, suspecting secrets while the city's police are already responding to ongoing organized crime. Each step Trenton takes, whether at school or wandering iconic Park Avenue, is met with countless eyes, tight surveilling eyes pressing in while he grows careless from love and privacy. In defiance of the cosmic commandments, Trenton stands by Alma when Francesco tries to send her away to Italy, marking a point where love and duty collide. What starts as forbidden love becomes a climax of runaway intervention; Francesco orders Trenton killed, pulling lovers' threads into a violent knots as he dismisses all understanding beyond Sicilian blood.

In the dramatic confrontation that follows, hunted down at Alma's residence, Trenton displays superhuman powers to protect yet perishes by mortal bullet. Years later, in the aging twilight of Francesco’s life, he sits in haunted solitude within a nursing home. An alien retaliation device, fitted on him in retribution for Trenton's demise, has eliminated everyone who shared his genetics, isolating him completely, leaving only habitat yet no family. The weight of an inflicted legacy and choices strikes Francesco through prisoning urbanity, where only an unbelieving orderly hears his tale of universal justice.

Meanwhile in a different city realm of privilege, Falon and Mirri Kryce rejoice with the now-resurrected Trenton, returned through the Resurgence process but absent the memories of love and death. Unknowing of the void alchemy within the pieces he lost, Trenton embodies yet a bridge, where fallow heart and earthly beauty meet, pondering the skyline as life drips tears unseen. Love, although vanished in his grasp, shapes the possibilities still awaiting the eternal overlook.

Earth’s complexity told through starry eyes and grounded hearts speaks beyond time—a modern Romeo and Juliet finds escalation within universal felons care beyond globe uncaring.
