The Evolution of the Superman
"It's understandable why the films I selected for my case studies show how, in the contemporary world, aesthetic and material values have taken over the idea of ethic. There are many examples in film history of features showing how beauty can both ease your life up and put that same life in danger. This video essay is an attempt to recreate the timeline of this
loss of values in society. And, for that, we need to start with a history lesson."

Mauro Colarieti was born on the first of April '97: the same year as Google, Titanic and the sheep Dolly. He's simply unstoppable. Annoying, but determined as fuck. Like Rachel Berry, you know.
He was just 17 years old when his first novel, a book about Italian teenagers dealing with everyday’s issues, got published: “Costellazione di brufoli” (“Constellation of Pimples”). The book got eventually translated in Spanish, French and Portuguese.
He then pursued his passion for storytelling with a Bachelor of Honours in Film at Falmouth University, in Cornwall, and is now enrolled at the University of Bologna for a Master of Arts in Cinema, Television and Multimedia Production.
