Edge of Mercy

A collaboration with famed Arabic Singer Ghalia Benali, "Edge of Mercy" is a ferocious prayer of a unrest. A movement story of a demonic unraveling within wild cavelike landscapes. Our heroine moves with hunger and beastly sensuality. The dance is paired with music from “Call to Prayer” by Ghalia Benali, Romina Lischka, and Vincent Noiret, who merge Classical Arabic Maqam, Indian Dhrupad Raga, and Early European styles. Together, the movement and music stress a common spirit across cultures, and unrelenting universal strife.
