Elijah B. Rodriguez is an American film director, producer, writer, and actor. The New York native made his directorial and acting debut in the short film Broken Window (2017). Inspired by events from his father’s life, Broken Window dives into a world of social injustice and urban crime as it tells the story of a recently released convict struggling to provide for his family.

Rodriguez directed, wrote, and produced his first feature length film Crossroads in 2017. The psychological thriller centers around four young adults on a weekend getaway to a remote cottage. However, their vacation quickly turns deadly as they become victims of an escaped sociopath.

His love for films began during his high school years as he worked part time in a movie theatre. He began screenwriting in 2015 while studying for his MPA at John Jay University. Alfred Hitchcock, Brian De Palma, Christopher Nolan, and Martin Scorsese are some of his influences.

Rodriguez is currently working on Kings and Queens, a historical drama set in 16th century Hispaniola, based on Enrique’s Rebellion against the Spanish conquest amongst other projects.
