Director Biography - Rakin. K

Rakin. K (Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, 2005) began his career as a child actor in a movie 'Miss Mallige ' which became most viewed kannada movie on youtube at the time of release .
He later acted as child actor in many movies including 'Putani Safari' as lead actor which won many awards throughout India, 'Manasina Mareyalli', 'Chaddi Dosth kaddi aladusbutta' and also acted in webseries 'Kirik Kids'
He joined the 'Banglore Film Academy' to pursue direction skills.
He later made a debut short movie 'Aase, bhaya mattu Devaru(The Desire, The Fear and The God) - The Dravidian Tale, which won awards throughout the world and was appreciated for its unique making style.
He's now in the process of releasing his short movie

Director Statement

Growing up in an interreligious family of Hindu and Muslim especially in a country like India, i have been both Hindu and Muslim at times of my life and my prayers had been answered by both the gods of the two religions which left me thinking that above god it is our strong belief and hope on that god is what happens to answer our prayers.
Thus it got me thinking of how the first person or group of people would have felt or gone through to reach the concept of god? Was it actually a supernatural phenomenon or was it the least hope for the survival and their new emotions of desire and fear.
Hence i have tried to answer this question beautifully in my movie and so do watch it to explore the first prayers
