Director Statement

Hi there!

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to present my short film The Dark Odyssey. I know that an 8 minute metaphysical, sci-fi stop-motion animation film is not what you would expect from an old rock photographer, believe me, I’m surprised myself. But I have always loved stop motion as an art form, it just took me a long time to get around to making something myself.
I am obsessed with storytelling and have been writing screenplays for years. I was working on raising money for a rock&roll drama that I wrote right when Covid19 hit. Unemployed and in lockdown, I turned the crisis into an opportunity and built a miniature spaceship in my living room. I hope you enjoy my film!

Best Regards,

Michael
