Robert Short was born in Indianapolis, raised in Columbus, GA but now rides for the “A “(Atlanta). He is a dancer, actor, rapper, songwriter and has now added director and editor to his list of titles. He was afforded the opportunity to be a director and editor when working on the webseries, “Blackwell”, in which he was the lead actor and he never looked back. He has directed and edited music videos, actor reels and short films, with feature films and television shows on his radar. He acknowledges that being an actor first definitely helps him when he has his director hat on and being an editor helps him when he has his actor hat on. Robert’s passion for directing and editing continues to grow with each project he’s fortunate to be a part of. He continues to perfect his craft, crediting hard work and God for every opportunity he has to use his talents and skills.
I wanted to direct an action short film, but it had to have a purpose. If somebody was going to get pummeled, it had to be for a perfect reason. I would often see these commercials advertising some new drug that was sure to fix whatever problem you had, as long as the side effects don't kill you first. I always found it interesting how much money pharmaceutical companies make every year from selling doctor-prescribed drugs, treatments, exams, etc. It also amazed me that while the prices for these drugs go up on price every year, you never hear about an actual cure. That's when I decided to create an action film that dealt with finding a cure for a particular disease.
This action-packed short film is based on two individuals trying to take down a crooked government agency while trying not to get hurt...or killed.
So sit back and enjoy this intense, heartfelt film that will leave your jaw on the ground!
