Kyle Tiernan developed an early love for visual storytelling from a young age. Though originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, during his teenage life he lived in Ireland for over 10 years where his journey of film making began. His cinematography career has taken him around the world, working on a wide variety of projects including Connor Mcdavid: Whatever It Takes, Puppy Love, Making Coco: The Grant Fuher Story, Over A Barrel, and the late Gord Downie's "Away Is Mine". Kyle’s unique eye for natural light, paired with strong abilities in VFX allows him to tackle a broad spectrum of projects.
The Creek was heavily inspired by Terrence Malicks "A Hidden Life". We shot the first scene during the fall of 2020 and then picked up the rest of the scenes in January 2021. This was a very small indie production, only costing about $2000 Canadian dollars, but with a passionate cast and crew we were able to create a simple but wonderful story.
