Director Statement

THE COLOUR OF SOUND is a poetic short art film that explores the theme of chromesthesia as it becomes an emotional and philosophical journey of transformation for the lead character. This subtle film story presents a solitary figure who experiences sound as colour, navigating a new world where emotion, memory, and perception blur into one sensory language. Hybrid in form, this art film not only explores the aesthetics and freedom of experimental cinema but presents both a character-driven and sensory-driven narrative. Even in the absence of dialogue, this nuanced film story maintains thematic coherence, human resonance, and emotional accessibility. The concept and emotional tone are further amplified by the restrained, yet powerful performances by the lead actor, whose compassionate portrayal of the central character adds substantial depth.

My film stories explore metaphorical aspects of the human condition, sensory awareness, dream knowledge, and spiritual imagination. My films are created to form positive emotional experiences with human vulnerability, sensitivity and beauty. I also continue to explore imagined visualizations from otherworldly experiences. Each short film is a poetic laboratory embodying its own enigmatic inner logic.
