JEANNE TAYLOR
I was very fortunate to have Amy Scribner on board to direct The Co-Star: Master Acting Class. Her artistic vision, sensibilities and humor on set, were invaluable. Ms. Scribner, was honored at American Cinematheque's 9th Annual Focus on Female Directors, January, 2014. Our short, was the only comedy chosen to screen at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and we were very honored!

April, 2014, our film won Leading Actress (Jeanne Taylor) at Best Shorts Competition; and, June, 2014, we won Leading Actress (Jeanne Taylor) at The Accolade Competition! We are so happy to have also won Leading Actress (Jeanne Taylor) and Short Film Award at The Indie Fest in August, 2014!

Our Director of Photography, Maurizio Dotto, has many credits including numerous shows at Universal, Fox, etc. I met Mr. Dotto, shooting a short called The Acorn Calf and he was very generous to bring his expertise and talented crew to The Co-Star: Master Acting Class.

The Co-Star: Master Acting Class was shot with a Sony F55, which I consider a Cadillac of a camera. The lighting, sound, and fantastic, high quality look of the production is due to the visionary work of Amy Scribner - Director, Maurizio Dotto - Director of Photography, Frank Zaragoza - Sound, Jeff Chin - Gaffer, and Laurie Hallak - Makeup and Hair Design.

Joshua Fardon, a very gifted actor and Yale graduate, is amazing as our Master Acting teacher, Trevor Allor. You may also recognize Jen Ray who plays Nancy Donahue on The Middle and Kurt Carley, known a Hollywood suit performer - he was Godzilla among other amazing roles. Jen and Kurt are both comedic geniuses. As is Eric Zuckerman (Behind the Candelabra) who's hilarious as Sam Floutz, Cloe's husband, along with Mackenzie Horras, who played Willow the Reader in the first Co-Star. We have the talented and flexible Jonquil Goode (Ever After High) along with upcoming star, Juan Gabriel Pareja (The Mentalist). Our Director, Amy Scribner and Assistant Director, Thomas Meaney, jump in and play fun parts in the film too!

Our post crew includes, editor, Laura J. Fisk, (The Co-Star); our very own composer, Gautier Gallard, who's invented original music for our short; and, Hauk Heimdallsman mixed our film to perfection.

The theme song for our short is sung byTerry Dexter, who played Darcel in the first Co-Star, and has a famous singing voice which she generously shared with our film (Legally Blonde, Playboy Club).

Please enjoy the beautiful stills taken by our set photographer, Mik Milman, which you can view under Production Photos.
