I’m a graduate from Zayed University Abu Dhabi. My Major was Communication and Media Sciences, specialized in Film Making, and I got a Minor Degree in Literature. I have been writing stories ever since I was 15 years old. Filmmaking is my passion and I am always working on new ideas for films.
After hearing so many stories of foreigner women marrying local men and trying to adapt to the culture I was inspired to create a character that challenges the Emirati traditions. Lauren, the half Emirati half American girl was the ideal example of trying to fit into the culture. I wanted to put her in a situation that would be logical yet confusing in its nature. I also wanted to have a story that could connect not only with the UAE audience but also with the international audience.
