The Bomb on flight JAT 367

27 passengers were killed when flight JAT 367, travelling from Stockholm to Belgrade, exploded midair over former Czechoslovakia in 1972. The incident became world news when it was revealed that flight attendant Vesna Vulovic fell approximately 10,000 meters and miraculously survived. However, the police and investigators were never able to determine who was responsible.

More than 50 years after the bombing Swedish/Croatian reporter Tonchi Percan picks up the investigation. In collaboration with investigative journalists from TV4 Sweden, he begins inquiring about a group of people from the Ustasha-linked organizations Otpor and HRB, rumored to have held a meeting in Sweden shortly before the explosion.

In the archive of the Yugoslav security service, the reporters discover previously classified files confirming the alliance between Otpor and HRB. They also implicate the same men in the bombing of JAT 367. According to the files, HRB chief Josip Senic led the operation. They also indicate that the Swedish collaborators were responsible for raising funds on a trip to Australia, handling the explosives, building the bomb and other practical arrangements. The information is very detailed and is based on intelligence from a large number of different agents, documented in separate files in the archive.

Several of the suspects were murdered or died shortly after the attack on JAT 367.
Three of the men are still alive today.

In this documentary, the team track down the three men and interview them about the bombing.
They confirm that the meeting in Sweden between Otpor and HRB with Senic took place and that one of their members travelled to Australia to raise funds.
Two of the men deny involvement in the bombing, the third man claims not to remember.

Ultimately, the search for answers becomes very personal for Tonchi Percan. He is accused of being disloyal to Croatia by his compatriots and he starts to receive threats.
