The Blackbox on Earth

Arid land, the fire that burns endlessly, typhoon and tsunami that sweep the land… Amidst the all of these and the diseases that spring up every day, the humanity finally declared the earth impossible to inhabit in 2049. The survivors boarded a shelter ship that circle the earth following the moon’s orbit, waiting for the earth to become habitable again. Only the huge data storage facility called the “Blackbox” was left on earth to preserver and record the history of the planet and the humanity. Only the “recorder” lives in the “Blackbox.” The recorder’s job is to check on the status of the earth and decide when the humanity can return to earth.

The first recorder, Yoon, lives and works at the Blackbox center alone while her 6-year-old daughter is asleep on the shelter ship. She hopes to bring back the humanity to earth as soon as she can and live with her daughter again but the earth is not in a good state even in 2054. While working, she accidentally comes across a documentary video taken by musicians in 2023 and takes a look. Will Yoon be able to recover her faith that the humanity can once again coexist with earth?
