The Beginning

Aly Mang is a Multi-Award Winning Actress, Writer, Director, and Producer born in NYC.

Aly became a member of SAG-AFTRA after playing multiple roles opposite James Franco in the Emmy Nominated Season of "Making A Scene." 

Additional credits include ABC's "Quantico," "The Get Down," "The Knick," "Saturday Night Live," "Chronicle Of a Serial Killer," "Deadman Standing," among others. Aly has also performed for major brands in commercial and modeling work, as well as placing as a Runner-Up for Miss New Jersey USA.

In 2017, Aly got out from her typical role from behind the camera to write, direct and produce her first short-film, "Roaring Tides." 

The film explored love, loss, the heartache of human existence and the confusion and power struggles we go through, while ultimately discovering our truth and purpose... A personal story, dedicated to her mother, who passed away when Aly was just 4 years old.

Aly was accepted into numerous prestigious festivals and was awarded "Best New Director," "Best Female Filmmaker," and was a Semi-Finalist for her work on the film, as a first-time Director and Female Filmmaker.

"The Beginning" is Aly's second Directorial debut. A project with themes of "creation" and "empowerment" at its core.

In true "life imitates art" fashion, Aly went through her first pregnancy during the film's creation and post-production process, which served as life-changing inspiration, perspective, and experience; helping to deepen the storyline, and bring new life to this new "Beginning."

Aly is a Director who creates from deep personal experience and emotions. Her heart is reflected in her work as both a Leading Actress and as a Writer / Director, through the whimsical, dream-like characters she brings into existence. Her ultimate intention is to entertain, while healing and infusing love into the heart's of all who see her work.
